I’m Pénélope Flouret, a New York–based writer and soon-to-be 2027 McGill University graduate, where I study English and Art History.

I am half-French, half-American, though I feel and look more French, so I’ve been told, especially when it comes to style. Actually, neither has accepted me. The Americans think I’m too French, and vice versa, it’s an ongoing dilemma.

I have written for 10 Magazine USA for over two years on subjects ranging from fashion to beauty, where I’ve been published online and in print. Most recently, after my semester abroad in Paris at Sciences Po, I extended my stay for two months as the first-ever Digital Editorial Intern at Harper’s Bazaar France. When I returned to New York City in July, I interviewed A$AP Rocky, and I’ve felt invincible ever since.

I strongly believe I was born in the wrong decade, and I yearn to have been a teenager in the 1980s. Much of my work stems from that nostalgia, whether it's writing about emulating the perfect summer wardrobe in 2026, pretending you're in a Jacques Deray film, or writing about CBK’s infamous 90s looks during the few months Love Story took up all our time.

My work also focuses on current pop-culture moments and what I notice trending; for example, how TikTok has impacted vintage shopping in Le Marais, or speaking with Formula 1-style accounts and writers about how Gen Z F1 WAGs have taken over the paddock.

Feel free to check out some of my pieces below from both magazines, and please do not hesitate to contact me at penelopeflouret@gmail.com
